How do I access my ebook once I have purchased?
Once you have purchased your ebook, you will receive an email within 24 hours containing a link which will enable you to download your ebook to your device.
I am unable to download the ebook file
Corporate networks can sometimes block access to certain files. If you trying to access the ebook on a corporate network please speak to your IT department or whomever is responsible.
Which ebook format do I need?
You can read your ebook on iPhone, iPad, Android devices, Windows phone and tablets, Kindle and Kindle Fire devices.
There are two ebook files that you have access to after purchasing. The ePub file is used for most devices. The mobi file is used for standard Kindle book readers.
When you buy an ebook from us, you will have access to both of these links and you may use either, or both, as often as you wish.
What happens if the CISI workbook is updated?
Occasionally, amendments are made to current ebook editions. The CISI will always try to contact you to notify you of any changes. However, please ensure that your login into MyCISI and review the Candidate Update page within My Study to ensure that you have not missed any updates before the exam.
Why does my ebook display differently to my colleagues?
For the best user experience, the CISI recommend iBooks for Apple devices and Gitden for Android/Windows devices. ebooks will display differently on different devices/ereaders.
I have already purchased an ebook, but I would like a newer edition?

Why am I unable to play the videos in the ebook?
Videos are available if you are connected to the internet. Please check your internet connection and try again. If this does not resolve the issue, please contact your technical support team as videos are sometimes block on corporate networks.
What is the difference between an ebook and Revision Express?
The ebook is an electronic version of the workbook with added functionality, such as animated graphics and links to websites. Revision Express is an online eLearning tool which is a study aid and works alongside your workbook or ebook.
Is it best to purchase the workbook and the ebook together?
This will be a matter of choice depending on your reading preference. The core study material is the same, but ebooks will have enhanced features that can aid your learning experience.
Why can't I buy my ebook through Amazon or similar channels?
As we have a mandatory workbook policy and need to ensure you have the correct study material for your exam, you can only purchase our ebooks via the CISI or through an Accredited Training Partner.
Can I run the ePub file from a PC?
Although it is possible to view an eBook on a PC, the CISI does not advise this as almost all functionality will be lost. Our recommendation is that files are downloaded and viewed on one of these compatible devices: iPad, Android tablet or Kindle.
What is the best ebook reader?
All CISI eBooks are compatible with Apple iBooks and the Android Gitden Reader prior to release. User experience and functionality will differ between devices and ereaders.
What are the minimum system requirements?
iPhone or iPad running iOS 8.4.1 or later with iBooks 4.3 or later or Gitden 4.3.2 or later.
Android phone or tablet running Android 4.4.2 or later with Gitden Reader for Android 4.4.9f or later.
All Kindle devices supporting KF8 and Kindle app.
Is my CPD automatically logged for ebook revision?
No. For both hard copy workbooks and ebooks study, students are requested to log their CPD manually onto their records. We only accept 5 hours of structured reading within a CPD log. Please note, the reading undertaken for a benchmark qualification cannot be logged as CPD, as the benchmark qualification is the attainment of initial competence.
